Wellness

As the South West’s largest venue, we have all the space, facilities and expertise you need to enjoy your favourite events in a safe, secure and controlled environment. Each new measure across the venue has been added with your safety, well-being and experience in mind.

From Friday 10th December, England moved to plan B in response to Government advice. For official Government guidelines on Covid-19 please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus

WHAT WE WILL DO TO KEEP YOU SAFE DURING YOUR VISIT:

We are continuing to follow advice from the Government and are ensuring procedures are in place to reduce the spread of Covid-19. We want you to know that we are working hard to make your visit to Westpoint as safe and enjoyable as possible. In order to protect our staff and visitors as best we can, from Wednesday 15th December, we will be asking visitors aged 18 and over to be ready to show upon entry to the venue:

  • Proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test (such test to be taken within 24 hours prior to attending the event at the venue); or
  • Proof of full vaccination - both doses received (with the second at least 14 days prior to the arrival at the venue); or
  • Proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of arrival at the venue (and after the 10-day self-isolation period following the result). Please be ready to show this when you arrive.
  • A face covering must be worn in all indoor public places, unless exempt.

Planning on joining us soon? Don't forget to check the relevant event page before you arrive for their latest Covid arrangements.

Before You Arrive

When attending an event, we highly recommend you pre-register or pre-book any tickets in advance. This will help to minimise queuing for tickets on the day and allows our teams to safely plan for your arrival so we can continue to provide a great event experience.

Before travelling to attend an event, we kindly ask visitors to take personal accountability for their health and those around them by adhering to COVID-19 safety measures in place and NOT attending our venue if they: are displaying symptoms, have been asked to self-isolate or live with an individual who has symptoms of COVID-19.

When preparing to attend your event, don't forget to pack your face covering. Whilst wearing a face covering isn't mandatory, we encourage visitors and staff to wear them in public areas where it is busy or in more confined areas such as bathrooms. Please do refer to your event’s webpage to check for any Covid safety measures you need to adhere to.

Upon Arrival

We continue to support contact tracing through the Government's NHS COVID-19 Track and Trace app. Check in on your arrival using the NHS QR code which will be displayed at all entrances.

You'll find hand sanitiser stations available at all of our entry and exit points to the venue. With a number of stations in our public spaces and event hall, you'll always be able to keep your hands clean no matter where you are in the venue. These are located beside the toilets, hall entrances and exit doors. Please remember to use these and wash your hands frequently during your visit.

During Your Visit

We're a big venue with lots of space to keep our visitors safe and comfortable during their visit. We will continue to encourage social distancing across the venue. Our teams are working with every event we host directly to add measures that help create space for the safe movement of people including wider event aisles, where possible and event counting to monitor visitor numbers.

Enhanced cleaning measures have been introduced with an additional focus on high-frequency touch points, such as counters, toilets, doors and handrails.

To help keep you safe during your visit with us, our friendly staff are taking tests twice weekly and we are actively encouraging Event Organisers to take regular tests. They will be on hand for any questions you may have and will ensure an enjoyable event experience.

As the situation evolves, so will our approach to keeping you safe. We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we manage this and ask that you check back here for updates.

Westpoint Exeter is accredited with the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry charter mark. This verifies that our venue meets the Government and public health guidance on COVID-19 and that we have all the required health and safety processes in place to reopen.

Good to go
