Race for Life
The Race for Life is a series of routes around the country that give people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities the chance to come together and help beat cancer. They’re strictly non-competitive, and you can take it at your own pace.

The Exeter route follows paths and fields around the showground. The terrain is a mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass. There are 3k, 5k and 10k races at Exeter.
Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
Our courses have been measured with a measuring wheel. This is the most accurate measurement method and may not always correspond with digital tracking apps and watches.
Supporter / spectator access
We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.
Pretty Muddy
Climb, crawl and slide your way around the Pretty Muddy obstacle course at your own pace. 5k is just over 3 miles and can take about an hour to complete on average, but there’s no pressure to finish in a certain time. Get muddy as an individual or with a group of friends or family, have fun and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Pretty Muddy Adult 5K Race Time: 1pm
Please note you must be at least 13 years old to participate in the Pretty Muddy Adult Race.
Pretty Muddy Kids Race Time: 12pm
Please note the Pretty Muddy Kids Race is for children aged 6-12 (over 1.2m tall). Supervising adult is free of charge.
